Paul & Jeremiah Black

Brothers from British Columbia. One came up in front of the camera, one behind it. In 2021 they founded Black Atlas Films in Los Angeles to direct and produce their own films.

Paul Black

Paul started in front of the camera. A Vancouver Film School graduate, he has more than thirty film and television credits as an actor, including S.W.A.T. and Obi-Wan Kenobi.

That time on set shapes how he directs: he knows what it takes for a person to be truthful in front of a lens, and he builds the space for it. Paul co-founded Black Atlas Films and co-directs its documentaries.

Jeremiah Black

Jeremiah trained in directing, cinematography and lighting in Capilano University's Motion Picture Arts program, then spent more than a decade on network and streaming productions in Vancouver, including Bates Motel, Prison Break, Riverdale and The Good Doctor.

He also works as a production manager on Los Angeles press junkets, running crews, schedules, payroll and multi-camera technical setups for talent interviews. That discipline carries into every Black Atlas shoot.

At Black Atlas he directs and shoots the company's documentaries and interviews, from MMA fight nights and 1v1 street football to founder stories and family legacy films.
